FAO-NCVC data and information Hub for KSA
The FAO-NCVC Data and Information Hub provides access to data and information products and services. This initiative supports the effective management and conservation of vegetation cover and natural resources, along with environmental protection across Saudi Arabia. It has been developed through a collaboration between the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MoEWA). This collaboration forms part of the Sustainable Rural Agricultural Development (SRAD) Project.
The SRAD project, implemented by FAO and MoEWA, incorporates a Natural Resources Management (NRM) component executed in partnership with the Saudi National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC).
The SRAD Project’s NRM component aims to strengthen Saudi Arabia's capacity to manage its rangelands, forests, and national parks sustainably. It focuses on addressing land degradation and combating desertification, including the development and dissemination of pertinent data and information products.

Access a repository of data on forests, rangelands, national parks, and land desertification. The repository includes data in different formats such as tabular and relational datasets, geo-spatial layers, and published maps, all with detailed metadata to support informed planning and decision-making in the sector.

Access a library of documents such as technical reports, scientific studies, and sector strategies. While the focus is on forests, rangelands, national parks, and land desertification, the library also includes related environmental and natural resource documents, organized by topic for easy access.

Access thematic data and information generated from field surveys, inventories, and assessments conducted by FAO and NCVC under the Sustainable Rural Agriculture Development (SRAD) project.
